Democrat Printing & Lithographing Company has purchased a Goss Sunday 4000 web press for its Little Rock, Arkansas plant.
In response to an increasingly deadline-driven market, DP&L is counting on the new press to increase overall productivity. "The automation offered in this press allows us to deliver both long and short runs at very competitive prices," says Haynes Whitney, President. "Additionally, the efficiency and speed of the new press will enable us to increase capacity by 50%."
DP&L, the premier magazine and catalog printer in the region, emphasizes quick turnaround and high levels of customer service. "With more than 90% of our prepress coming in through our web-based automated system, it is increasingly important for our customers to get their jobs completed quickly. We look forward to taking full advantage of the features and speed of our new Sunday 4000 press," explains Frank H. Parke III, Executive Vice President. The press will be delivered in early 2008 to the Little Rock facility which houses a full range of prepress, press, finishing and mailing equipment.
The order is one of the first Goss 32pg single web, collect, double-circumference presses with gapless technology in the United States.
